ONE

The Beginning

 The Mountain whispered, “Quiet dear heart, you are dancing with the Divine in your silence. Be still, the beauty of the Mountain and the flower are the same. Stop looking dear heart, you are what you seek.”

Walking down off the Mountain was as though something new within me was being born. The warmth of the sun soothed me, the wind acted as my guide. The tears of bliss and gratitude were evidence of my growing capacity to experience love. At no other time in my life had I felt such love. It seemed that my expanded heart was meeting the sky and I was soaring in the heavens, yet still firmly planted in the earth. It was a relationship with the divine in the form of the Mountain, Arunachala Shiva. Inward, inward, I knew this journey into the heart was only the beginning, and a current of love was carrying me back into the world. This had been my first trip to India, and I knew I would never be the same.
